Fair Trade Bake Off

Fair Trade Bake Off

Fairtrade prducts jpegWarrington Fair Trade steering group are arranging Fair Trade bake off to celebrate 10 years of Fair Trade in WarringtonWhoever wishes to participate, is to make a cake, biscuits or fruit loaf etc with as many fair trade ingredients as possible, at home and then to bring the contribution, with proof of the fair trade products used, to church. So as not to break into an evening in the week, it was thought that one Sunday after the morning service, those from Holy Trinity could go over to St Ann’s (giving lifts to those without transport) for a soup and roll lunch provided by folk from both churches. Following lunch, there’d be the competition to choose the best item (judges to be arranged). The two dates being considered are 28th February or 13th March. On Saturday, 16th April, the winner from each of the events around Warrington, will be invited to make the item again, to bring to the Town Hall, for the Mayor to judge the winning item. The more the merrier who come along to share the lunch would be great! Photos will be taken to send to the local paper. It’s all for fun and to raise awareness of Fair Trade. Please contact Caroline if you would like to take part or for any further information.
