We are delighted that the fantastic WACIDOM concerts are returning to Holy Trinity Church on Saturday 1st October 2022  1:45pm – 2:30pm. The programmes are largely classical music and are always of an excellent standard.

Biographies

A recent graduate from the Royal Academy of Music with a Master of Arts under cellist Hannah Roberts, Yuuki Bouterey-Ishido is a professional cellist performing around the UK and Europe.

Yuuki has performed at major festivals around the world, including the Schnittke Festival in London and the Semaine Internationale de Piano et musique de chambre in Switzerland. Other significant performances include solo recitals in Japan, Italy and New Zealand. He has also toured Europe extensively over three years as a member of the Menuhin Academy Soloists under the direction of Maxim Vengerov.

Yuuki is a passionate chamber musician and has been awarded various chamber music prizes, as well as being invited to perform in various chamber festivals in Europe. He currently performs as a member of the Anarres Trio.

Masterclasses include those with Julian Lloyd Weber, Alexander Ivashkin, Frans Helmerson, Gautier Capuçon, Christoph Henkel, Ralph Kirschbaum, Antonio Lysy, David Waterman and Miklós Perényi. Major prizes and awards include a Diploma of the Royal Academy of Music, the String Player Award at the Gisborne International Music Competition 2017, First Prize in the Barbirolli Cello Prize 2018, and 2nd Prize in the National Concerto Competition in New Zealand, among others.

Born in 1995, Tianyang started learning the piano at the age of 5. At 14 she started to study professionally with the esteemed teacher Danwen Wei and his assistant Lei Wang. She entered the Shenyang Conservatory of Music in 2009, achieving outstanding results in The 16th Hong Kong-Asia Piano Open Competition. She won the 2nd Class Award in the Youth Class and the 4th Prize Award in the Chopin Ballade or Scherzo Class. She also received the 3rd Prize in the Shenyang Conservatory of Music Competition in 2011 and 2013. Other highlights include attendance at the Italian Music Fest, Perugia, in 2010 and 2012, where she performed the Mendelssohn Piano Concerto No.1 with Sergei Babayan conducting. In 2014, Tianyang chose to embark on undergraduate study at the RNCM with Graham Scott – the Head of School of Keyboard Studies, receiving the prestigious Lord Rhodes Scholarship and FW Wright Piano Scholarship to support her study. In 2017, she got in to the final of Concerto Audition by playing Shostakovich Piano Concerto No.1. In 2018, she received scholarship and travel fund to join the 29th Semaine International de Piano & Musique de Chambre festival. In 2020 she graduated from RNCM with a master degree in music performance under scholarships. In 2022 she accepted the graduate music assistant role at Dorset House School. Recently she performed a lunch time concert in Christchurch, New Zealand.
