Lent series based on the film ‘The Way’

There will be a lent series each Wednesday in March 8,15,22,29,& April 5 at St Ann’s. The sessions will be at 1:30 in the afternoon and will be repeated at 7:30 in the evening. The series is based on the film ‘The Way’

The main character, Tom,  learns that his only son Daniel was killed in an accident in Spain just as he has started walking the pilgrimage of Camino de Santiago. The Camino,  often referred to  as “The Way of St. James” or, simply, “The Way” is a really long walk of about 500 km. Tom, who is a lapsed Catholic, goes over to Spain to retrieve Daniel’s ashes.  On the spur of the moment, Tom decides to, to walk the Camino himself, carrying his son’s ashes.  During the walk he meets a few people along the way. The lenten course uses clips from the film as it explores Toms journey  and the relationships that form between Tom and these three other people as they journey along ‘the Way’
