Holy Trinity and St Ann’s Walking Group are off on another Sunday afternoon ramble. As quite a few people were away, for the walk around Grappenhall Heys, we have decided to repeat the walk to give those who missed it last time another chance to enjoy it.
When: 20th August, meeting at 2.15pm
Where: Gate of Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden, Astor Drive, WA4 3DS
Getting there: From the centre of Stockton Heath take Grappenhall Road, at the next lights turn right and go under the canal bridge. Follow Lumb Brook Road all the way to the T junction and turn left onto Witherwin Avenue. At the roundabout take the second exit on to Astor Drive which is sign posted Walled Garden. Park on Astor Drive.
The Walk: Around Grappenhall ending up back at the Walled Garden for refreshments in the café. Terrain: Woods, lanes, tracks and a little road walking. You will need strong footwear as the woods can be a bit muddy and uneven.
