Outstanding Young Pianists David Zhang, Sam Lord and Melody Zhao will be playing their WACIDOM concert on Saturday 16th March at the usual time of 1.45 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. They will be playing:-

Biographies:-

David Zhang
David was born in 2013 in London and started piano training at 8 years old. He started at Chetham’s School of Music, Manchester, at 9 years old, to study with Mr. Simon Bottomley. In 2022, David won the First Prize in the keyboard category at the International Festival Online Competition in Germany. He has also taken part in and won a number of other international piano competitions. His second instrument is saxophone.

Sam Lord
Sam is 13 years old and started learning piano at age 7. He joined Chetham’s School of Music aged 12, when he started his piano training with Mr. Simon Bottomley.

Melody Zhao
Melody is 13 years old and started playing the piano when she was 6 years old. She is in her third year at Chetham’s School of Music where she is a pupil of Mr. Simon Bottomley. Melody has won prizes in several local music festivals and was a finalist in the EPTA piano competition in Belgium.
